About us
An independent standard for entrance exam preparation
Montpelier Education combines a rigorously written online question bank with experienced admissions consultancy, so families can prepare calmly and know exactly where a pupil stands.
Our approach
Preparation should be measured, not frantic
Entrance examination preparation too often becomes a matter of volume: more papers, longer sessions, higher pressure. We built Montpelier around the opposite belief — that short, well-targeted practice with a genuine explanation after every question produces steadier progress and calmer households.
Our subject team writes questions to a consistent internal standard, mapped to the skills selective schools tend to assess at 7+, 8+ and 11+. Each question carries a worked explanation so that a pupil who answers incorrectly learns the method rather than simply recording a mark.
Alongside the question bank, our consultancy team advises families on shortlisting, readiness and timing. Admissions arrangements differ between schools and change over time, so we always encourage parents to confirm current requirements directly with each school.
Independently written content
Every question and explanation is authored by our own subject team and reviewed before publication. We do not reproduce real examination papers.
Honest about outcomes
Preparation builds familiarity, accuracy and confidence. We do not promise places, and we are careful never to imply a school endorses us.
Built for the whole family
Pupils get clear practice and worked explanations. Parents get topic-level insight instead of a single score they cannot act on.
Consultancy when it helps
Our advisory team supports families on shortlisting, readiness and timing — as a considered addition to the question bank, not a hard sell.
Our independence
Not affiliated with any school
Montpelier Education is an independent provider. Our practice content is not official examination material, is not taken from real papers, and is not endorsed by or affiliated with any school featured in our guides.
